Editorial policy

Accuracy, independence, and visible limitations

CalcScoutHQ publishes educational calculators and guides designed to make the formula, inputs, assumptions, and uncertainty understandable.

Purpose and scope

We cover general business, finance, marketing, ecommerce, employment, and everyday calculations. Published results are planning estimates, not personal financial, accounting, tax, legal, investment, lending, or employment advice.

How content is created

The CalcScoutHQ Editorial Team defines the question a page answers, selects an appropriate formula, labels the units and reporting period, implements the calculation, and writes an independent worked example. Important denominator choices and cost boundaries are explained rather than hidden behind the output.

Source selection

Stable mathematical relationships are verified by reproducing the formula and testing examples. When a guide benefits from external context, we prefer official agencies, standards bodies, platform documentation, and directly responsible organizations. External links provide context and do not transfer responsibility for our wording or implementation.

Review and testing

Before publication, calculator logic is checked against normal examples and edge cases such as zero denominators, non-positive contribution, invalid percentage combinations, and rounding. Editorial review checks that the title, formula, worked example, interpretation, assumptions, FAQ, metadata, and related links describe the same model.

Dates and updates

Calculator pages show a last-reviewed date and guides show an updated date. We review a page when its logic changes, an external rule materially affects the explanation, a cited source changes, or a credible correction identifies a problem. A review date means the page was checked; it does not mean every general formula changed on that date.

Corrections

We correct confirmed formula, implementation, accessibility, factual, and link issues as soon as practical. Send the page URL, inputs, observed result, expected result, and supporting information to hello@calcscouthq.com.

Commercial independence

Advertising, affiliate compensation, or a commercial relationship does not purchase a favorable result, ranking, formula, or editorial conclusion. Material relationships are disclosed. Calculator outputs depend on the displayed inputs and formula.

Authorship and accountability

Pages are published under the organizational byline CalcScoutHQ Editorial Team. We do not invent individual credentials or imply professional licensure. The team is accountable for the published formula, testing, explanation, and correction process described here.
